Welcome to the dual credit English collaboration blog for Logan and Man high schools. I hope that this blog will be a chance for our students to develop increased skills in collaboration. The 21st century world truly is flat. Students will have increasing opporutnities to work with people around the globe, and developing responsible work habits for this kind of work is a must.
For the first assignment utilizing this blog Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Baisden want each student to become a member, and write and publish a comment in response to this post. In the comment each student should introduce him or herself, and let each other know about what our future career choices might be.

My name is Matt Capua, I’m a senior at Logan High School. I have a passion for music and art. I spend most of my time writting and performing music, more specifcally alternative metal, playing guitar and singing lead. I hope to become a musician, or an audio technician.
My name is Kaci Copley, and I am a senior at Logan High School. I love reading, watching films, playing and listening to music, and mathematics. I hope to acquire my Ph.D. in Theoretical Mathematics with a minor in engineering.
My name is Josh Thompson, and I’m a Senior at Logan High School. I enjoy playing football and basketball, and I Love music. I am undecided on what I’d like to do with my life, but I will be attending Marshall University next year and hope it will come to me there.
My name is Whitney Loggins, and I’m a senior at Logan High. I love Seinfeld, ballet, math, and science. I plan to attend Marshall University next year and major in Pre-Med Chemistry; I then hope to attend medical school to become a Radiologist or Anesthesiologist.
My name is Dee Dee Dillon, I am a senior at Logan High School. I really enjoy sports, and being active in something at all times. In my future I hope to become either a lawyer, or a forensic scientist. I plan to attend Southern next year, joining their criminal justice program, and then possibly attending Mountain State University or Appalachian Law.
My name is Whitney Horne, and I’m a senior at Logan High School. I love singing, reading, hanging out with friends, working with children, and watching King of Queens. I hope to go to school at Marshall University and become a journalism professor or English teacher, something that involves that involves English education.
My name is Jeremy Adams, but most of you probably know me as the Drum Major of the LHS Band. My plans are to attend WVU and major in Exercise Physiology and Music simultaneously. The I plan to return to gain a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Hello, my name is Erin Hensley. I’m a senior at Logan High School, and I’m active in many of the clubs there. I love being in the band, playing volleyball, reading, and going to church. As of now, I plan to attend Marshall University and major in Communications Disorders. That could change in the near future, though.
My name is Chadd Gartin, and I’m a senior at Logan High. Some of my favorites are tennis, video games, calculus and chemistry; I also am an employee at McDonald’s. Next fall, I plan on attending Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College in the nursing program, and I will try to progress my studies to become a nurse anesthetist.
My name is Chris Evans and I’m a senior at Logan High School. I play football and run track. My football number is 21. I also like to hang out with my friends when I’m not working at McDonald’s. I plan to attend WV Tech next fall to become an engineer, from there I am going to transfer to WVU. While there, I plan to get a degree in mine engineering.
My name is Justyn Blankenship, and I am a senior at Logan High School. I play football and like to lift weights and hang out. I plan to go to Southern next year and from there transfer to Marshall or West Virginia. Then I hope to become a Medical Doctor, but im undecided in exactly what specific field.
My name is Jasyn Blankenship,I’m a senior at Logan High. I play football for Logan. I like about all types of music. After graduating from Logan I plan on going to Southern Community College. Then transferring to Mu or Wvu and doing something in the medical field. I don’t know exactly what yet.
My name is Taylor Gibson, an I am a senior at Man High School. My favorite TV shows are House, Fringe, and Heroes. I love science especially labs. My plan is to attend Marshall University and major in Anthropology. I hope to be a Forensic Anthropologist and get accredited by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology.
My name is Benja Lamyaithong, and I’m a senior at Man High School. I enjoy music, playing the piano (sometimes), and playing DDR! As for my future, I’m a little uncertain to what I want to be, but I’m probably going to be in medicine!
My name is Steven Mitchell, a senior at Man High. I love music and reading. My goal in life is to become some sort of doctor. I haven’t decided which yet; there are too many choices.
My name is Tiffany Francis. I’m a senior at Man High School. I play volleyball, and I love music, especially country and rock. I am going to Alderson-Broaddus college to major in biology to be a P.A., then continuing to be a pediatrician.
Aleigha Moss is the name. It’ the coolest name ever! I am a senior at MHS. I’m in HSTA, Robotics, Girl Scouts, and Student Council. I have some pretty big plans for a little girl. After graduating, I’d like to go to state for a year, then transfer to WVU to finish up. Then I have to go to Richmond University to get my Doctorate in Veterinary medicine. After school, you can usually find me working at either Hardee’s or Dairy Bar. Yeah, two jobs..wow..lol But I love to hang out with my friends and I’m up to just about anything for fun! I’ll try anything once! If you wanna know anything else just ask!!!
My name is Taylor Grimmett. I am a senior at Man High School. I enjoy doing lots of different things. I’m very easygoing and love to try new things. I enjoy reading, dancing, movies, and being outdoors. I plan to attend Marshall University after graduation and to major in Pre-Med Biology.
My name is Neal Scaggs. In the future, I plan to attend Marshall University where I will study business. I play golf and a for Logan High School.
My name is Michael Charles. I am a senior here at Logan High. I read and enjoy playing video games for the most part. I will probably be attending Marshall University. As what I’ll be going for, I am not sure. It will probably be Engineering in the end.
I’m Kristian Chryssofos. I’m a senior at LHS. I enjoy playing softball, basketball, tennis and hanging out with my best friends. Next fall, I will be attending Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina pursuing a degree in biology. From there I hope to join South Carolina Medical School to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
My name is Katie White, and I’m a senior at Logan High School. I really love to play tennis and play the piano. I also really love to read. Right now, I have no clue what career path I want to pursue. However, I believe I will be attending Marshall in the fall next year, so hopefully, I’ll decide soon!

My name is Taylor Willis. I am senior at Logan High School. My favorite hobbies include spending time with my friends, watching movies, and shopping. I am very friendly and love to make new friends. After I graduate, I plan to attend Marshall University and major in nursing.
My name is Cortina Buchanon. I am a senior at Man High School. I enjoy working out and watching movies when I’m not working. I’m pretty easy to get along with as long as we don’t talk about politics. I plan to go into the education field. I’m going to Southern next fall, and hopefully later transfer to Marshall.
My name is Rachael Booth, and I am a senior at Man High School. I’m co-captain of the varsity cheerleading squad, and I also play tennis. I love to read, mostly mysteries. After high school I plan to attend either Marshall University or Mountain State University to major in Biology. After I receive my Biology degree, I plan to attend Physicians Assistant program at Mountain State.
My name is Sarah Gibson, and I am a senior at Logan High School. I am on the varsity cheerleading squad which takes up most of my time. I love to do gymnastics, read, and watch movies. After high school I plan to attend WVU or Marshall University to major in psychology. My dream is to become a forensic psychologist.

My name is Scottie Smith and I’m a senior at Logan High. I enjoy playing baseball and just sitting around and relaxing. I hope that one day I will either become a nurse parctitioner or an ophthmologist.
